At Revive Therapies and Psychology Your Well-Being Is in Reliable Hands.

About Sonia Muller

Sonia Muller is a registered clinical psychologist. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Southern Queensland.

Sonia is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of the Psychological Society of Australia. She is also a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner and an Accredited EMDR therapist.

As Sonia is committed to ongoing personal and professional development, you can be assured that she is up-to-date with current evidence-based practices and research that will benefit her clients.

Values

Sonia created Revive Therapies and Psychology as a psychological practice that supports you through the entire process of overcoming your challenges and growing into a thriving individual.

However, she also wants to support you in your journey towards wellness now and into the future after you have completed your therapy program. Sonia believes that given the right tools, you can tackle most of life’s challenges and continue with your own development after your program is completed.

The Revive Approach

Sonia offers both traditional psychological therapies along with body-based approaches that integrate both the mind and the body to improve well-being.

At times, Sonia may suggest that you consider developing a support team involving other professionals with specialties such as an occupational therapy, exercise physiology, nutrition and diet, massage therapy, physiotherapy, and yoga therapy to help with your journey.

There are also times when Sonia may suggest a referral to a psychiatrist as part of the healing team.

Your program will begin with an initial consultation to help Sonia understand you and the circumstances that have lead to you seeking help.

She will then design a tailored program specifically for you, keeping in mind that flexibility is also required to deal with new feelings and situations that may emerge along the way.

Appointments

1. Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy

Cancellations are needed to cover the cost of providing a professional counselling and therapy service. If the space can be filled at short notice, there will be no charge. Sufficient notice also allows clients booked into the future to be moved forward when possible, allowing you to have an earlier appointment in the case that you need to cancel.

Sonia asks that you please contact her by phone or email (during office hours) to change your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your scheduled time.

Cancellation fees will only be waived on compassionate grounds, such as in the event of a medical emergency requiring urgent professional treatment, death in the family, or in the event of an accident or natural disaster.
Clients who do not show up for a scheduled appointment (“no show” or “I forgot”) are billed a cancellation fee of $50 to be paid prior to the next schedule appointment.

If you miss two appointments in a row without prior notice (“no show”), your file will be closed and Sonia will provide you with referral information to other services that might be of assistance.
If you simply stop coming to sessions and don’t return Sonia’s call then after 4 weeks, it will be assumed that you wish to terminate counselling and your file will be closed.

2. Late Arrival for Appointment

Please allow yourself enough time and space to arrive at your session at the scheduled time. If you are running late for an appointment, please try to phone ahead to let your counsellor know. Consultation will commence upon your arrival and finish at the original scheduled time to ensure other clients are not inconvenienced. Full standard fee applies.
